Medical Institution: For purposes of PM Section 3.21, Service Prioritization for Non-Title XIX/XXI Funding, a medical institution includes the following: acute care hospital, psychiatric hospital (non-Institution for Mental Disease), Residential Treatment Center (non-IMD), Intermediate Care Facility for People with Mental Retardation (ICF/MR), psychiatric hospital – IMD, Residential Treatment Center – IMD and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
