Credentialing:   Is the process of obtaining, verifying and assessing information (e.g., validity of the license, certification, training and/or work experience) to determine whether a behavioral health professional or a behavioral health technician has the required credentials to provide behavioral health services to persons enrolled in the ADHS/DBHS behavioral health system. It also includes the review and verification of applicable licensure, accreditation and certification of behavioral health providers.
