HITECH Act – Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (Title XIII, Subsection D of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA):   Expands the HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and increases the penalties for HIPAA violations.
